Senior Enterprise Architect

The Windchill PLM Enterprise Solution Architect will be responsible for defining, designing, and governing enterprise-scale Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions using the PTC Windchill platform. The role will lead PLM transformation initiatives covering solution architecture, cloud migration, integrations, data migration, performance, security, and technical governance. The architect will collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, IT leadership, and implementation partners to deliver scalable, secure, supportable, and high-performing PLM solutions.
Required Technical Skills:
Windchill Platform: Strong experience with Windchill PDMLink, MPMLink, ProjectLink, Parts Management, Document Management, Change Management, and BOM Management. Knowledge of workflow, lifecycle, classification, and access control. Engineering & Customization: Java/J2EE. Windchill customization. Info*Engine. REST APIs and SOAP services. SQL, Oracle/PostgreSQL, Apache, and Tomcat. Cloud & DevOps: Experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure architecture. Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automated deployment, monitoring, and operational readiness. Enterprise Integration: SAP or Oracle integration. Boomi or MuleSoft. ThingWorx. API management. Identity management, SSO, LDAP, and Active Directory. Architecture Practices: Enterprise and solution architecture. Solution patterns and non-functional requirements. Security architecture. Capacity planning. Risk management. Technical governance. Preferred Certifications:
PTC & PLM: PTC Windchill certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise. PTC Windchill System Administration certification. Cloud & Architecture: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. TOGAF, SAFe Architect, or comparable architecture certification. PMP or equivalent delivery certification preferred. Core Competencies: Strategic thinking and strong analytical problem-solving. Executive stakeholder management and customer-facing consulting. Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Leadership, mentoring, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration. Ability to translate business requirements into practical architecture decisions. Key Deliverables: Enterprise PLM architecture blueprints and roadmaps. Solution Design Documents and technical specifications. Infrastructure, security, integration, and deployment architecture documents. Data migration strategy, validation approach, and cutover plan. Performance, scalability, availability, and disaster recovery assessments. Technical governance framework, standards, and reusable design patterns. Implementation roadmap, estimates, assumptions, dependencies, and risks. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Experience: 12+ years of overall IT experience. 8+ years of hands-on Windchill implementation experience. 5+ years in Solution Architecture or Enterprise Architecture roles. Demonstrated experience delivering global PLM transformation or modernization programs.
