Job Summary:
The emergency room registered nurse (RN) position is located in Largo, Maryland. This role involves providing critical care in a busy Emergency Department during night shifts from 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM. Candidates must bring their Maryland license on the first day of the assignment. The position requires a minimum of three years of experience, with travel experience preferred but will consider first-time travelers with five or more years of experience.

Job Details:

• Location: Largo, Maryland
• Shift: 3x12 Night shifts, 7:30 PM 8:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Maryland or Compact RN license; BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI, TNCC certifications; 3 years minimum experience; travel experience preferred but will consider first-time travelers with 5+ years of experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience; LTAC experience; Level I Trauma Center experience; Level II Trauma Center experience
• Float: required within the specialty as needed
• Additional Information: The unit cares for a broad patient population including neonates, pediatrics, and adults, with an average daily census of 140. Candidates must be comfortable managing complex conditions such as acute psychosis, trauma, respiratory failure, and cardiovascular emergencies. The role involves handling specialized equipment such as arterial lines, chest tubes, and ventilators, and participating in procedures like intubation and sedation monitoring.
• Certifications and Skills: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI, TNCC certifications required; experience in managing arterial lines, trauma, neuro-trauma, cardiac emergencies, sepsis, stroke, and pediatric emergencies highly preferred.
• Onboarding: Labs required within 72 hours of signing contract; compliance documentation due 5 days prior to start.
• Schedule: Night shifts from 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM, 36 hours per week.
