Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated RN for Med/Surg Ortho Trauma unit, specializing in orthopedic and trauma patient care. This role involves providing high-quality nursing services to polytrauma and orthopedic patients in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to ortho trauma and polytrauma patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering treatments, and managing drains.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, unit guidelines, and safety protocols, including proper documentation in Meditech EMR.
• Assist with patient assessments, coordinate procedures, and respond promptly to patient needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment aligned with unit dress code and policies.
• Participate in unit huddles and shift handovers to ensure seamless patient care transitions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 1 year of medical-surgical experience.
• Proven competency in managing ortho and trauma patients, including polytrauma and cervical fxs.
• BLS certification required; ortho or trauma experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to float across all MS units as needed.
• Ability to arrive punctually for shift starts and adhere to unit policies.
