Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapy

Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Will accept RRT or CRT certification
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Typical caseload of 10-15 patients for general floor assignments and 6-8 patients for ICU assignments
• Caseload will vary depending on patient acuity
• Primarily working with geriatric and adult patients with some pediatric patients in the ED
• Perform vent management, CPAP, BiPAP, nebulizer treatments, arterial line placement, and assist providers with intubation, vent weaning, extubation, and ABGs
• Operate equipment including AVEA vents, Servo U Vent, LPU 1200 Vents, Parapack vents for MRI, and Hamilton vents for transport
• Use EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Float to all units within the hospital as needed
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday assignments as needed
• Block scheduling will not be accommodated
• Staff cannot work more than 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts per fatigue policy
• Overtime may be available depending on facility needs
• Up to 7 days of requested time off may be approved
• Scrub color: Any solid color, professional - no graphics, logos, or designs

Facility:

This is a large, 933-bed hospital recognized as a Level III Trauma Center and Level III NICU facility. The organization holds Magnet Designation and is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, reflecting its commitment to excellence in patient care. The respiratory therapy department is well-staffed with a dayshift team of 13-15 respiratory therapists, supported by RNs, managers, supervisors, and leads to ensure a collaborative care environment.
