Donor Center Phlebotomist

Job Description We provide paid training—no prior medical experience required. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Job Overview Utilize your healthcare and/or customer service skills to assist with every step of the blood collection process at fixed site locations. Collaborate with your team to create a welcoming environment for volunteer donors, and follow all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations that are delivered to hospitals. Key Responsibilities Personally connect with donors—listen to their stories and help them understand the impact of their donation. Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so volunteer donors feel comfortable returning. Maintain detailed orientation to ensure blood collection meets regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused. Standard Schedule Variable 10‑hour shifts. Variable schedule may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedule is provided 2–3 weeks in advance. Pay Information Starting rate $21.64 / hour; may increase depending on experience. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree or combination of education and experience required. Minimum one year customer service experience in a public setting. Valid driver’s license with good driving record. Physical requirements: ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up/down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, ability to sit or stand for long periods, adapt to irregular hours and frequent schedule changes. Basic computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.). Prior leadership experience.
