Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for a Med Surg Oncology RN!

Job Description:


- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
- Unit Focus:
- Caring for patients receiving chemotherapy
- Seeking travelers who are either chemotherapy certified or willing to obtain certification


- Certification Information:
- Required: ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration
- Certification can be obtained before starting the assignment or during the assignment
- Facility provides onsite training and covers certification costs


- Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an inpatient setting
- First-time travelers accepted


- Job Details:
- RTO after booking is not allowed
- Call-offs or additional RTO could result in cancellation
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations
- Patient Ratios: 1:6


- Skills Needed:
- Med/Surg experience, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports
- Blood Product Administration, Central line management
- Heparin & Insulin administration
- Surgical drains, Chest tubes, Non-invasive airway management
- Wound Care, Isolation Precautions


- Patient Diagnoses Include:
- General medical-surgical conditions, Cancer, Septic shock
- Pain management, Diabetic foot ulcers


- Additional Information:
- Contract staff may be required to work during catastrophic events
- Assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team
- Participation in monthly staff meetings is mandatory
