Our team consists of over 400 employees serving over 1500 patients in Missouri and Illinois./ppPay Transparency: This is Full Time Per Visit position, meaning the clinician is paid based on experience, the travel required and type of visit completed. The Per Visit rate is $35.00-$38.00/visit./ppJob Summary: A Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) administers physical therapy to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist (PT)./ppResponsibilities:/pulliUnderstands and adheres to established Agency policies and procedures./liliProvides physician prescribed physical therapy under a plan of care established by the PT./liliImproves or minimizes residual physical disabilities of the patient./liliReturns the individual to optimum and productive level within the patients capabilities./liliParticipates with all other health care personnel in patient care planning./liliPerforms all skilled procedures as ordered by physician and according to the plan of care established by the PT./liliConsults with PT regarding change in treatment./liliInstructs patients and family members in home programs and activities of daily living./liliParticipates in in-service programs and presents in-service programs as assigned./liliParticipates in performance improvement activities as assigned./liliAttends all patient care conferences as scheduled./liliPrepares medical records, progress notes and updates care plans for each patient visit in a timely manner as per Agency policy./liliPerforms services planned, delegated and supervised by the PT./liliAssists in preparing clinical and progress notes./liliParticipates in educating the patient and family/liliWorking Environment: Works indoors in Agency office and patient homes and travels to/from patient homes/li/ulpJob Relationships: Supervised by: Registered Physical Therapist/Director of Therapy, Home Health/ppRisk Exposure: High risk/ppRequirements/ppQualifications:/polliGraduate from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association./liliCurrently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing./liliTwo (2) years experience, preferred./liliAcceptance of philosophy and goals of Agency./liliAbility to exercise initiative and independent judgment./li/olpPhysical Requirements:/pulliAbility to participate in physical activity./liliAbility to work for extended period of time while standing and being involved in physical activity./liliHeavy lifting./liliAbility to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis./li/ul/div
