Travel Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Neptune, New Jersey. Company and Location Company: Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Facility in Neptune, New Jersey Job Summary A Certified Respiratory Therapist delivers respiratory interventions and support for patients with acute respiratory problems, as well as routine care for chronic respiratory disorders. CRTs administer treatments, monitor equipment, and educate patients and families on the proper use of respiratory therapies and devices. Essential Work Functions Assist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans under the guidance of physicians or RRTs Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples Administer respiratory treatments, including aerosol medications and oxygen therapy Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient receives the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate Observe and record patient status and progress Educate patients or family members on how to properly use medication and equipment Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CRT practice Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills The ability to read, write, and communicate in English Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities Must remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, and bend Interpersonal Skills Must work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills Must grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment Mental Requirements Must cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure Must work under close supervision occasionally, as well as independently without assistance from other personnel Must contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and maintain continuous concentration on detail Sensory Must possess visual acuity and effective communication skills Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications ACLS or PALS certification (AHA/ARC) Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1560 hours Life and short‑term disability offered 401(k) matching Aggressive referral‑bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Other Duties Disclaimer To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
