AI Transformation Lead - Private Equity Investment team

Our client - a mid market private equity firm that’s serious about using AI to improve how its investment team operates - is looking for a AI Transformation lead. This isn’t a strategy role. You won’t be writing decks about AI. You’ll be sitting with investors, embedding & building practical AI solutions that make a measurable difference. What you’ll be doing You’ll own AI across the investment team’s workflows - from idea through to adoption. Spot where things are slow, manual, or just inefficient Turn those pain points into working AI solutions (prompts, agents, workflows) Test quickly, break things, improve them, and get them into people’s hands Work out what data and context is missing, and fix it Partner with technical teams when something needs scaling properly Get buy-in from investors who don’t care about AI unless it clearly helps them you\'ll embed software & build things that people end up using . What they’re looking for Someone who combines a deep understanding of Private Equity Investment workflows with hands on experience of AI tools & software. A number of years in either consulting, product, or transformation - but you’ve moved beyond just advising You’re already using tools like ChatGPT / LLMs / Claude Code, in a hands-on way - not just talking about them You understand where AI breaks (hallucinations, weak context, etc.) and how to work around it You can go from vague problem → working prototype quickly You’re comfortable pushing stakeholders and challenging how things are done Why this is interesting You’ll have real access to decision-makers and real problems to solve There’s no “innovation theatre” - the expectation is delivery Clear link between what you build and actual business impact You’ll be shaping how AI gets embedded into an investment platform from the inside This is a really rare opportunity to join a mid market PE firm with a true top down AI mandate.
