Job Overview

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing various industrial systems and engines for our clients. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment. This position requires a strong background in mechanics, industrial systems, and engine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance, repairs, and installations of industrial equipment and engines
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in various industrial systems
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on client equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel and natural gas engines
• Install, calibrate, and maintain industrial control systems
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues and repair procedures
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve complex technical issues
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs
• Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies in service vehicles
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a field service technician or in a similar role
• Strong proficiency in mechanics, industrial systems, and engine repair
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region (Abilene or Dallas area)

Preferred:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
• Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., ASE, EPA, HVAC)
• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with various brands of industrial equipment and engines
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
