Part-Time Bookkeeper

Hours: Part-time, approximately 20 hours/week About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial recordkeeping and support month-end close activities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, enjoys a steady routine, and can work independently with minimal oversight. Key Responsibilities Post daily transactions (expenses, deposits) accurately and in a timely manner Perform monthly bank reconciliations across all company accounts Perform monthly credit card reconciliations, matching receipts to statements Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are properly coded/categorized Support month-end close: journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and close checklist items Prepare and maintain accurate financial records Assist with preparing basic financial reports (P&L, balance sheet) for management review Flag discrepancies or unusual transactions for review Support management with documentation during tax season or audits Ensure compliance with company policies and standard bookkeeping practices Qualifications 5+ years of bookkeeping experience (required) Proficiency with accounting software (preferably Quickbooks) Strong understanding of debits/credits, account reconciliation, and basic GAAP principles High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and meet recurring deadlines (weekly/monthly) Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets Excellent written and verbal communication skills Discretion in handling confidential financial information Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Experience supporting a small-to-mid-sized business or startup Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-currency bookkeeping (if applicable) Culture Competitive compensation and opportunities for advancement Welcoming, family-style corporate culture uniquely suited to fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and motivated individuals One of San Antonio’s “Best Places to Work” for nine consecutive years #J-18808-Ljbffr Futurex
