Job Summary:
The Oncology Nurse is needed at a medical outpatient clinic specializing in outpatient oncology care in Farmington, Connecticut. This role involves providing supportive patient care to oncology patients within the outpatient ambulatory setting, ensuring quality treatment and patient comfort. The position is scheduled for dayshift hours and requires prior experience in oncology nursing.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Connecticut license or a compact license, a minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience, prior travel experience, experience working with oncology patients, and must work well within a team environment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in outpatient ambulatory care, outpatient clinic setting, and possession of an ONS chemotherapy immunotherapy provider card is highly preferred.
• Additional Information: Candidates may be required to lift and restrain patients, may have exposure to communicable or infectious diseases, and may encounter disagreeable conditions. The role involves answering phone triages and problem-solving to meet patient care needs without directly administering infusion therapies. Locals are accepted. Orientation sessions are every other Friday, with virtual sessions available.
