Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist - Day ShiftThe CT Technologist independently performs imaging procedures, utilizing prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes while applying independent judgment and technical expertise in various CT procedures.ResponsibilitiesIndependently perform computed tomography procedures following established scan protocols and administering contrast as required.Utilize complex imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data.Demonstrate proper venipuncture techniques and utilize power injector per departmental protocols.Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast based on physician orders and department policy while assessing patient risk factors.Effectively communicate with patients and co-workers, ensuring clarity and understanding of procedures to alleviate patient concerns.Verify patient identity utilizing two patient identifiers and implement universal protocols during procedures.Review patient history and physician orders to ensure optimal data acquisition following departmental protocols.Document patient history in electronic records as necessary and ensure proper coding and tracking of exams.Maintain compliance with system-wide competencies and perform additional duties as assigned.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureGraduate from an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.CT registry must be acquired within 18 months from the date the primary registry was obtained or date of hire if the primary registry is already obtained.Minimum of 2 years of experience is required.ARRT certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are mandatory.Compliance with PA Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73.ScheduleThis position operates on a Day Shift schedule of 8 hours per day, 5 days a week.Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
