Overview The Long Term Acute Care Nurse provides care for patients with complex medical needs. They wean vents and treat trachs in LTACHs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in critical care nursing, with experience in LTAC settings. Key Responsibilities Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions. Administer medications and advanced treatments. Operate equipment like ventilators. Document care in EHR systems like Epic. Collaborate with healthcare teams for care plans. Educate patients and families. This position is key for managing acute chronic illnesses.
