The Opportunity As a Medical Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering an exceptional client experience while supporting HLI's clinical team. The position combines hands-on clinical support, client coordination, phlebotomy, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment, and committed to providing a high level of care and discretion. What You'll Do Client Interaction & Coordination: Serve as a welcoming point of contact for HLI clients, route calls promptly and efficiently, manage scheduling, and coordinate appointment follow-ups. Support the Medical Team: Coordinate results reviews and post-visit planning with the clinical team to help ensure clients receive timely information and personalized care. Own the Client Experience: Guide clients throughout their HLI clinical visit and coordinate the final wrap-up process, helping ensure they understand their next steps. Clinical Support: Support clinical activities, including phlebotomy and the tracking and handling of diagnostic kits and specimens. Confidentiality & Trust: Protect client privacy and maintain medical and personal information with the highest level of discretion and in accordance with HIPAA requirements. Administrative Excellence: Maintain accurate electronic and paper records and support efficient day-to-day clinical office operations. Flexible Support: Provide after-hours or weekend assistance when needed to support HLI clients and clinical operations. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Certified Medical Assistant Phlebotomy Certification (CPT) Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, such as Veradigm Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in a healthcare environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities Collaborative and team-oriented approach to problem-solving and client service Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree 3+ years of phlebotomy experience Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to anticipate client needs Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Proficiency with Microsoft Office Familiarity with Salesforce, WebEx, DocuSign, and Macintosh systems Why Join HLI?
