Job Description:

The position requires 2 years of recent ICU experience for a Med Surg ICU RN. The role involves providing care to adults and patients over 15 years old with various conditions such as neuro surgery, respiratory failure, sepsis, and others. The unit follows a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-2 for ICU and higher for PCU/MS.

Responsibilities:

Titrating drips such as vasopressors, paralytics, and sedation
Reading and interpreting Draeger heart monitoring telemetry
Floating to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU
Adhering to RRT and Code procedures as a Charge Nurse

Requirements:

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Driver's license required at submittal
Adherence to fingernail policy
Successful completion of pass/fail exam with a 90% score during orientation
