What You'll Do

As a 1st Shift Machine Operator, you'll be integral to our daily production, ensuring smooth operations and top-notch output. Heres a glimpse of what your days will entail:

• Operate Advanced Machinery: You will expertly set up, run, and monitor various state-of-the-art production machines, such as stamping presses and automated assembly lines, to accurately produce components according to specifications and meet daily production targets.
• Quality Assurance: Perform thorough in-process and final inspections and conduct various tests on products using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers) to guarantee they meet our stringent quality standards. Youll be a frontline guardian of product excellence.
• Continuous Improvement Champion: Actively participate in real-time analysis of production data and daily production meetings. Your insights will be crucial in identifying opportunities for process optimization and contributing directly to our ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain Operational Flow: Execute routine preventative maintenance tasks and perform basic troubleshooting on machinery to ensure continuous, efficient operation. This includes lubricating parts, cleaning components, and making minor adjustments as needed.
• Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with the Maintenance team to promptly address and resolve any complex mechanical or technical issues that arise, minimizing downtime and supporting overall productivity.
• Data Management: Accurately collect and input critical production data, such as output quantities, defect rates, and machine performance metrics, into our digital systems like Excel and JD Edwards throughout your shift.
• Safety and Organization: Maintain an exceptionally clean, organized, and safe work environment. You'll be proactive in identifying and reporting any potential machine malfunctions, safety hazards, or operational inefficiencies to ensure a secure and productive workspace for everyone.

Compensation & Rewards

For this crucial 1st Shift Machine Operator role, we offer a competitive hourly wage of $17.50 . This position is structured as a contract role, providing valuable experience and flexibility. As a contract employee, benefits such as health insurance, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid time off are not provided directly by Arango HRS. However, we are committed to providing consistent work and a supportive environment where you can excel. • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience with stamping presses or automated assembly equipment is a significant plus.
• Technical Aptitude: A basic understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to perform routine machine adjustments and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify and troubleshoot common machine issues effectively and communicate more complex problems to the maintenance team.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for quality, capable of performing precise inspections and identifying even minor defects.
• Data Entry Skills: Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, for accurate data entry and record-keeping. Experience with ERP systems like JD Edwards is a bonus.
• Communication: Clear and effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, supervisors, and the maintenance department.
• Physical Stamina: The ability to perform the essential functions of this position, which may include standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and repetitive motions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

The Details

This is a 1st Shift position, typically operating from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM , with potential for overtime as production demands require. The work will be performed on-site at our manufacturing partner's facility, providing a hands-on, dynamic environment. No travel is required for this role. All necessary safety equipment and tools will be provided to you to ensure a safe and productive work experience.
