Overview Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a 3rd – 5th year Associate in the Labor & Employment Practice of our San Francisco office. Responsibilities Provide strategic legal advice to national and international clients on all matters concerning the employment relationship. Assist in representing employers on issues including wage and hour compliance, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence, employee accommodations, personnel policies, and employment agreements; participate in class and individual matters as needed. Contribute to trial teams handling complex labor and employment matters, including cases that go to verdict; assist in arbitrations and related proceedings. Assist clients in structuring corporate transactions to maximize managerial flexibility and labor efficiency; negotiate collective bargaining agreements and address labor relations matters as appropriate. Support and collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver practical, business-focused advice to clients. Qualifications Qualified candidates will have solid academic performance in law school, strong interpersonal, writing and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the desire and initiative to "take ownership" over work and career. Candidates must be in good standing with the CA State Bar. Capabilities and Experience We are trial lawyers and regularly try cases to verdict. Our Labor & Employment trial team handles complex, bet-the-company matters and has three U.S. Supreme Court Labor & Employment victories. Our experience in class and collective litigation is wide-ranging. We work with courts, counsel, and judges across our global footprint to provide clients with critical information to respond to and defend such matters. We assist clients in maintaining positive labor relations. Our group has in-depth experience structuring corporate transactions, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, trying labor arbitrations nationwide, and helping employers lead and manage in ways that fit their cultures. Compensation and Benefits The expected pay range for this position is $260,000 to $365,000 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full-time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus and an extensive benefits package, including health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, healthcare and dependent care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program. Additional voluntary programs include voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance, and pet insurance. Commuter and transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
