Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour

A skilled nursing facility in Brooklyn is seeking an experienced Dietitian to join its team. This position is responsible for overseeing resident nutritional care, supporting dietary services, and working closely with the interdisciplinary team to promote positive resident outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Long-Term Care facility, or similar healthcare setting and be knowledgeable in geriatric nutrition and dietary regulations.
Responsibilities

• Conduct nutritional assessments and monitor residents' nutritional status
• Develop and update nutrition care plans based on resident needs
• Monitor weight trends, dietary intake, and nutritional risk factors
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and dietary personnel to ensure appropriate nutritional interventions
• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
• Review therapeutic diets and make recommendations as needed
• Educate residents, families, and staff on nutrition-related topics
• Ensure compliance with dietary regulations and facility policies
• Assist with survey preparation and quality assurance initiatives
• Support the Dietary Department in maintaining high standards of resident care

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dietitian in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Long-Term Care facility, Rehabilitation Center, or healthcare setting required
• Strong understanding of geriatric nutrition and therapeutic diets
• Knowledge of state and federal dietary regulations
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Licensure or registration is not required; however, relevant dietary experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
