Staff Accountant

The primary purpose of the Staff Accountant is to assist the Controller with month end close and account reconciliations. This position will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization Duties and Responsibilities s · Assist with monthly closing activities to ensure that financial statements and general ledgers are closed timely and accurate ly· Prepare & review various month end journal entries & reconciliations in accordance with policies and timeli ne· Review of Accounts Payable vouchers for proper submittal of payme nt· Assist with preparation of monthly & quarterly reporting packages and various operational analyt ic· Assist with performance of various SOX compliance procedu re· Support internal and external audits as needed· Assist with standard cost and absorption analysis as requi re· Assist with physical inventori Knowledge, Skills and Abilities tiesSuperior written and oral communication sk illsKnowledge of PC spreadsheets, word processing and database applications (Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL and OneStream prefe rredOverall comprehensive understanding of business processes, with manufacturing experience prefe rredHighly motivated, self-starter with good analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independe ntly Education and Experience rienceBachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, with 1-2 years of related experience preferred but not re quiredExperience with ERP application a plusExperience with SOX controls compliance Physical Requirements irementsWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands a nd arms.· The employee regularly is required to walk, climb or balance, and talk a nd hear.· The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth per ception. #J-18808-Ljbffr Scepter
