Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | Onsite | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with the health care team
• Provide high-quality care to Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, Psychiatric, and Telemetry patient populations
• Interact effectively with patients, significant others, and health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing
• Interpret and monitor telemetry strips; a Basic Dysrhythmia test-out will be administered during orientation and must be passed to work in this float pool
• Participate in every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday rotation

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience in a like unit within the last 12 months required
• Must be prepared to self-study telemetry strips upon acceptance and successfully pass a Basic Dysrhythmia test-out during orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry or float pool setting
• Experience caring for diverse patient populations including Geriatric, Adult, and Psychiatric patients
