Director of Communications

Special Projects Manager Pay Range: $44.57 - $62.80 per hour. SEARHC is a non‑profit health consortium serving residents of Southeast Alaska. This role advances SEARHC’s digital communications, patient engagement, and brand visibility across platforms and audiences. Responsibilities Project Management – Provide support across varied brand, marketing, and communications campaigns; maintain timelines and workback schedules; organize requests, oversee intake processes, cross‑departmental communications, and reporting. Digital Content Management – Implement and oversee content for SEARHC websites, MySEARHC, and multimedia outlets. Collaboration – Partner with Brand & Engagement staff, internal and external stakeholders to provide marketing and branding support. Performance Monitoring – Support data‑driven marketing, including surveys, analytics, dashboards, and campaign metrics. Brand Consistency – Ensure deliverables reflect SEARHC’s brand standards, tone of voice, and cultural values. Innovation – Identify emerging digital trends and recommend tools or approaches to enhance online presence. Qualifications Education – Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, digital media, business, public relations, or a closely related field. Experience – Minimum of four (4) years in digital strategy, marketing, communications, or public relations. Experience with healthcare, tribal, nonprofit, or multi‑location organizations preferred. Experience coordinating with agencies, consultants, vendors, and cross‑functional teams. Skills & Abilities – Exceptional written and verbal communication; strong understanding of digital communications strategy, content marketing, audience engagement. Knowledge of website management systems, digital marketing platforms, analytics tools, and social media. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SEO, Google Analytics, paid digital advertising, and performance reporting. Strong organizational, project management and time management. Ability to think strategically while managing tactical execution. Highly collaborative, independent, and able to manage competing priorities. Willingness to travel throughout Southeast Alaska.
