NOW HIRING: Commercial Carpenters

3+ Years of Commercial Carpentry Experience Preferred

CG Jones Construction is a growing commercial general contractor specializing in site development, commercial building construction, underground utilities, and concrete construction. We're looking for experienced professionals who want to build their careers with a company that values safety, quality, teamwork, and professionalism.

Our projects are primarily located throughout Northwest Alabama , with an expanding presence in Northeast Mississippi and Southern Tennessee .

We're seeking skilled Commercial Carpenters who take pride in their craftsmanship and enjoy building quality commercial projects. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and able to work effectively as part of a team while producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of commercial carpentry tasks on active construction projects
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Construct and strip concrete formwork
• Perform rough carpentry, framing, blocking, and finish carpentry
• Install doors, hardware, trim, and miscellaneous carpentry items
• Assist with layout and field measurements
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work closely with foremen, superintendents, and other trades to complete projects on schedule

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial carpentry experience preferred
• Experience with concrete formwork, framing, and commercial construction techniques
• Ability to read a tape measure and use common carpentry tools
• Ability to read construction drawings is preferred
• Strong work ethic with dependable attendance
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
