Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation Speech Language Pathologist (PRN/Flexible) – Austin, TX - Rehab Without Walls Neurorehabilitation Overview Speech-language pathologist needed to provide 1:1 adult neuro-rehabilitation in patients’ homes and community settings, serving as the primary treating SLP from evaluation through discharge with a flexible work schedule that fits your lifestyle (ideally ~15 hrs/week across 3 days). What you’ll do Practice beyond the clinic, providing individual therapy in patients’ homes and community settings. Serve as the primary treating SLP from evaluation through discharge. Responsibilities Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Regularly reassess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staff meetings and family conferences. Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources. Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members. Communicate with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care, and enhance patient outcomes. Qualifications Minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech‑Language Pathology program. Valid Speech‑Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice. Current CPR Certification in accordance with state regulations. Minimum of one year’s work experience as a Speech‑Language Pathologist. Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury preferred. Effective and professional communication in verbal and written interactions. Ability to lift 50 lbs; moving, lifting, or transferring patients may involve lifting up to 100 lbs following safety procedures. Fine‑motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to walk/stand for extended periods. Physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently.
