About the Role

We're looking for friendly, reliable, and hardworking team members to join our Boston stores. We are currently hiring Baristas as well as experienced candidates for Shift Supervisor positions.

Our team members work together to provide high-quality drinks, efficient service, and a clean and welcoming store environment. We are looking for people who are responsible, learn quickly, communicate well, and enjoy working as part of a team.

Previous boba tea or food-service experience is helpful, but not required for Barista positions—we provide training.

Barista Responsibilities:

• Prepare HEYTEA drinks according to recipes and quality standards
• Prepare tea, fruit, toppings, and other ingredients
• Take customer orders and operate the POS/register
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service
• Maintain drink quality, accuracy, and speed during busy periods
• Restock ingredients, cups, packaging, and supplies
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures
• Keep workstations, equipment, front counter, and back-of-house areas clean and organized
• Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning tasks as assigned
• Work cooperatively with other team members
• Follow store policies and HEYTEA operational standards

Shift Supervisor Responsibilities

Shift Supervisors perform the responsibilities above while also helping lead store operations during assigned shifts.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Lead and coordinate team members during the shift
• Assign stations, breaks, cleaning tasks, and other responsibilities
• Monitor drink quality, order accuracy, preparation speed, and customer service
• Help train and coach new and existing employees
• Make sure employees follow HEYTEA recipes and operational standards
• Monitor ingredient preparation, inventory levels, and product availability
• Help maintain proper labor deployment during busy and slower periods
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and store procedures are followed
• Handle routine customer concerns and operational issues
• Complete opening and/or closing procedures when assigned
• Communicate employee, inventory, equipment, customer, or operational issues to management
• Take responsibility for maintaining smooth store operations when acting as the person in charge

Qualifications

For Baristas:

• No previous boba tea experience required
• Food service, restaurant, café, or customer-service experience is a plus
• Friendly and professional attitude
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to learn recipes and procedures quickly
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work effectively as part of a team

For Shift Supervisors:

• Previous restaurant, café, boba tea, food-service, or retail experience preferred
• Previous shift lead/supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Responsible, organized, and dependable
• Comfortable directing and coaching team members
• Able to stay organized and make decisions during busy periods
• Strong understanding of customer service and food-safety standards
