Team Lead - Skid Steer Indirect Production Control

Position Purpose This position is responsible for performing the function of Product Control line-feeding, material outages and shortages. Position Type Full Time, Non-Exempt Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities Lead and oversee the daily activities of team members responsible for delivering materials to line-side to prevent manufacturing part shortages when material is available Actively support and develop the team and team members Participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams Continuously measure and improve safety, quality, efficiency and cost Conduct daily safety meetings and team meetings Provide training and feedback to fellow team members to help facilitate JCB Production System Must be able to perform the team leader role and responsibilities as outlined on the JCB production system Champion and maintain 5S practices and procedures Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations Minimum Qualifications Four years of experience in material handling in a manufacturing environment Must pass applicable drug screens, background checks and pre-employment tests High school diploma Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree Six years of experience in material handling in a manufacturing environment Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies Knowledge and ability to operate a forklift or tug or the demonstrated ability to learn Effective communication and problem-solving skills Detail oriented and self-directed Multi-task while maintaining a sense of urgency Flexibility with work activities; available for overtime Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP Ability to operate various hand tools, forklift and tug Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required Job Conditions Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment Subject to noise and temperature changes Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment.
