The company values engagement and partnership, and Project Managers who share our passion for building strong relationships with stakeholders and driving successful project outcomes.As a member of the BlueSkye Automation team the Implementation Project Manager is responsible for, though not limited to, planning and executing project deliverables within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints. Under minimal supervision, this job utilizes deep knowledge of the project requirements to manage large-scale automation and engineering solutions projects for our customers. The Project Manager will work across multiple areas to manage deliverables related to robotics & automation, IT systems, and facilities from project initiation through customer acceptance and handover to aftermarket service.The Implementation Project Manager forms a strong relationship with the business stakeholders, customers, and key vendors, while partnering to resolve project related issues, providing project status updates and escalating issues and concerns appropriately. To be successful in this role you must be willing and able to partner with business stakeholders, "roll up your sleeves," and provide value outside of basic project management tasks. Prior project management or change management experience in one or more of the following industries or functions is preferred: robotics & automation, material handling / logistics, manufacturing, warehousing & fulfillment, facilities, or ERP implementation.Responsibilities include championing project delivery through the project lifecycle, including:Initiation: Align with sales and application/solutions team to identify high-level requirements & all impacted stakeholder groups, and to align the project scope. Plan and organize the project based on established project management methodologies. Lead project Kickoff with internal & external resources and customer.Execution: Leads internal and external project teams to safely complete project related work within the established timeline and targets. Coordinate multiple internal/external resources in areas such as transportation/delivery, mechanical/electrical installations (racking, conveyor, workstations, etc.), commissioning of automated systems, integration of software & IT systems, customer training, and go-live & stabilization.Budget Management: Manages/tracks actuals, cashflow and forecasted spend.Scope: Ensures scope is managed and changes follow the PMO change mgmt. protocols.Quality: Gets the details rights. Ensures project deliverables achieve expected outcomes.Risk & Issue Mgmt.: Proactively identify and resolve problems; manage issue/risk processes.Communications: Establish comms plans and ensure all stakeholders are informed /engaged.Change Management: Partners with stakeholders to formally integrate change management best practices and frameworks to ensure sustainability of implemented solution.Facilitation: Able to bring together a group of people to chart out the best possible course for the project to ensure its success.Closure: Ensures customer satisfaction through successful achievement of final acceptance and handover to aftermarket/service. Actively uses, tracks and shares lessons learned within the organization.Essential FunctionsOrganizes project teams by assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements necessary to ensure project is successful.Identifies and resolves obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.Manages issues, risks, and changes using appropriate and agreed upon processes and tools.Performs business analysis and develops formal requirements documentation for scope alignment, developing solutions, and determining resources, time, and costs.Coordinates the activities of vendors and outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.Work with solutions team to estimate the costs, resources, and time required to complete each phase of a project and allocate resources and tasks to ensure these targets are met.Implements an established project plan and monitors progress and performance against this plan.Conducts project meetings and prepares regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.Responsible and accountable for delivering large projects on-time, on budget, and meeting functional and quality specifications as the main customer facing contact during the project.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualifying individuals to perform the essential functions.Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Project Management, General Business, Management, or similar studies.Preferred: Degree in Business Administration or Engineering.Required: Applicant should have 3+ years' experience in Project Management and leading medium to large projects as the assigned Project Manager accountable for success.Applicant should show experience running multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion.Applicant should have knowledge of logistics & material handling robotics and automation projects and technologies, for example autonomous mobile robots (AMR), automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), conveyors, sortation, co-bots, etc.Requires 2+ years in a client or senior stakeholder facing role, with strong communication skills.Applicant should have exposure to and basic understanding of Lean / continuous improvement, Health & Safety, and PMI / Agile methodologies.Proven ability to drive projects from concept through completion with minimal guidance.Familiarity or experience working with continuous improvement specialists to deliver projects.Willingness to travel up to 75% to project sites as necessary.Preferred location Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA but open to considering remote candidates.Certifications / Licenses / RegistrationsPreferred for candidate to have one or more of the following certifications:PMI/PMPPMI/ACPDriving is an essential function of this position, and a current and valid driver's license must be always maintained.Computer SkillsAdvanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.).Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel (knowledge of formulas and data analysis).Intermediate skills with team productivity tools (SharePoint, Smartsheet, etc.).Exposure to or willingness to learn and use Project Management Tools (Monday.com, etc.)AttributesHigh level of motivation, self-starter, excellent at follow-up, team-player with ability to work with front line employees, middle management, and executives to deliver within defined timelines.Proactive and growth mindset with the desire to work in a collaborative environment.Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high growth technology environment.Entrepreneurial: If the right process or tool is not available, raise your hand and provide recommendations for a solution.
