Retail Inventory Coordinator - 1st Shift

Job Summary The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for assisting the plants and purchasing in monitoring, managing, and maintaining the overall VMI inventory level. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Move in-process materials between workstations as needed. Transport finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse. Band, wrap, pack, and label finished products according to standards. Maintain organized and clean raw material and finished goods storage areas. Assist production teams with bottlenecks and material support. Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment. Complete pre-shift equipment inspections and report issues. Ensure all equipment is safe, clean, and operational. Operate hand tools and equipment required for assembly processes. Follow all forklift operation rules and company safety policies. Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality and customer specifications are met. Follow established safety, quality, and operational procedures. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Maintain inventory of production materials and supplies. Prepare production reports and maintain accurate records. Verify production documentation is properly completed and logged. Conduct cycle counts and inventory adjustments as required. Prepare regular and ad hoc operational reports. Assist with production scheduling and workload balancing. Review pre-shift inspection reports and address concerns. Communicate effectively with employees and management. Support continuous improvement (CI) and safety initiatives. Complete work area setup and maintain housekeeping standards. Participate in safety meetings, training, and improvement programs. Perform additional duties as assigned. Performs other duties as required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent degree preferred 6+ months of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred (not required) Working knowledge of inventory internal controls, and company procedures Working knowledge in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications Excel, Word, and Outlook Basic math skills preferred Preferred understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures Compensation & Benefit Information Hourly/Salary Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00 an hour dependent on experience* *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living Bonus/Incentive Pay Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
