Lead, Heal, Inspire Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Locums Opportunity in New York!

Position Overview

This role is central to evaluating psychiatric and medical needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and guiding patients toward stability, safety, and improved quality of life.

You ll join a collaborative clinical environment supported by RNs, physicians, LCSWs, and multidisciplinary behavioral health staff , serving primarily Children s Inpatient with occasional Adult Inpatient coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychiatric care in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medical assessments
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Support inpatient child/adolescent units; occasional adult coverage during provider absences

Minimum Requirements

• MD or DO
• Completion of an ACGME approved psychiatric residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (Child & Adolescent preferred)
• Active NY medical license
• Active DEA & DPS
• Current CPR/BLS

Position Details

• Type: Locums / Locums-to-Perm
• Start Date: ASAP upon credentialing
• Duration: 26 weeks ongoing, up to 5 years
• Schedule: Tuesday Friday, 8am 1pm (20 hrs/week)

• Some flexibility available based on program needs

• On Call: None
• Travel/Lodging: N/A

Compensation

• Pay Rate: $250-270/hr
