Senior Payroll Specialist

Vaco is recruiting for a Payroll Manager located on the east side of Cincinnati. This is a direct hire opportunity – salary: $80K-$95K. Responsibilities Process and submit bi-weekly payroll, multi-state payroll, garnishments, and taxes. Data entry of payroll inputs (i.e. commissions, bonuses, fringe benefits). Maintain and update employee payroll information in software (i.e. direct deposits, federal, state and local taxes). Maintain time system and electronic timecards. Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports. Provide training to employees on payroll related items as needed. Ensure all deductions are funded timely. Prepare and submit deduction files file biweekly to various vendors. Issue or reissue replacement checks or direct deposits as needed. Review of payroll tax and wage withholding reports for federal, state, and local jurisdictions (prepared by third party). Remit all voluntary deductions (401k, ESPP, etc.). Manage change request process for data file for file transfer from the payroll system to the benefits system, as needed. Ensure that all W-2s are postmarked by January 31st annually. Ensure that all W-2s add on amounts are properly processed (auto, legal allowances, stock option income, etc.). Provide information for quarterly and annual SOX audits. Keep up to date on payroll tax law changes. Assist in reconciling payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements. #J-18808-Ljbffr Vaco Recruiter Services
