Experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist Needed

We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Fredericksburg, VA where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role requires adult patient care and specified neonatal intensive care skills. Please review the minimum qualifications and assignment details carefully before applying. Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state license in good standing with the State License Board.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum 2 years of general respiratory therapist experience.
• NICU experience required. Must demonstrate competency with neonatal interventions including CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and assistance with neonatal intubation and mechanical ventilation.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Hamilton ventilators (Hamilton C1, V60, Hamilton MR1) preferred.
• Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS and NRP preferred; employer may permit obtaining after hire.
• Prior experience in hospital settings with adult and neonatal patient populations preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 19000700.
• Scheduling requirements: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week including every other weekend.
