CT Technologist (PRN)-1

Job Summary Computed Tomography Technologist (CT) reports to CT supervisor and manager of radiology. Under general supervision, performs high quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging from neonate to geriatric for interpretation by a physician. Other duties as deemed necessary. Responsibilities Perform CT examinations on diverse patient populations including neonates, children, adults and geriatrics. Ensure high quality images and compliance with established protocols. Operate CT equipment and manage patient positioning. Perform other related duties as needed. Physical Requirements Continuous – 6-8 hours per shift; Frequent – 2-6 hours per shift; Infrequent – 0-2 hours per shift. Perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking (Continuous). Lifting from 36” to overhead 25 lbs (Infrequent). Exert up to 50 lbs of force (Frequent). Transfer a 100 lb patient that cannot assist requires 50 lbs of force; additional pounds require assistance. Push 400 lb patient in a wheelchair on carpet requires 20 lbs. Push a stretcher with one hand requires 25 lbs. Maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one or both eyes (Continuous). Recognize objects close or distant (Continuous). Match or discriminate colors (Continuous). Determine distance/relationship between objects, depth perception (Continuous). Good peripheral vision (Continuous). Maintain hearing acuity, with correction (Continuous). Perform gross and frequent fine motor movements (Continuous). Deal with stressful situations (Continuous).
