Registered Nurse, Nursing HomeClaiborne Medical Center, a member of Knoxville-based Covenant Health, offers a full range of medical services including emergency care, general and orthopedic surgery, rehabilitation, and diagnostic services. Our radiology services are certified by the American College of Radiology in Computerized Tomography (CT), Mammography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound. Claiborne also provides skilled and long-term care through Claiborne Health and Rehabilitation Center. Our team of physicians and staff is dedicated to putting our patients first, every day.Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.ResponsibilitiesCompletes nursing history and initiates patient/resident education.Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members.Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis. Evaluates care outcomes.Problem solves and coordinates unit/patient/resident care assignments, with supervision.Introduces new employees/students to unit routinesParticipates on unit-based committees.Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills (check list) to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.Supervises LPN's, Nursing Assistants, C.N.A.'s, HUC's Techs and sitters.Assists in maintaining a safe environment for all residents which may include reporting to appropriate managerial staff equipment that is out of order, suspicion of resident abuse, mistreatment, neglect and reporting of suspicion of criminal activities.Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsValid Tennessee RN license. CPR required.
