Full Time Media, PA, US Salary: $48,000.00 Annually TheFinancial Aid Advisor must have exceptional customer service, organizational and prioritization skills; strong oral and written communication skills; be able to communicate effectively, and have negotiation and problem solving abilities; as well as the desire to work closely with a diverse student population. This position has the potential to be hybrid, and will require 3 days per week in the office. General Duties: Responsible for processing financial aid applications and counseling students and parents on all aspects of financial aid. Provide students and parents with loan counseling and accurate information regarding the application process and their eligibility for State and Federal financial assistance, including alternative financing, and/or institutional payment plans. Determine students’ Title IV eligibility through an approved needs analysis financial aid software system. Review financial applications and consumer statements for completeness and accuracy. Process all forms in accordance with State/Federal and institutional regulations. Update tracking system for new applications and missing documents for timely follow up and completion. Participate in new student orientations, exit interviews, and open houses as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: 1-3 years Financial Aid Experience; 3-5 years customer service preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Associate Degree required; Familiarity with student loan programs; Knowledge of Anthology; and Knowledge of processing aid for standard and non-standard terms preferred.
