Location: New Rochelle, NY

Hours: M-F 9 am to 5 pm (35 hours)

Salary: LMSW/LP's/LCAT $65,000 LMHC/LCSW/LMFT $75,000 (plus bilingual stipend)

OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES :

The Bilingual Clinician is responsible for delivering culturally and linguistically responsive behavioral health services-including individual, group, and family therapy-to children, adolescents, and adults in both English and Spanish. This role involves conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, implementing evidence-based interventions, and collaborating with families, school personnel, and community partners. The Bilingual Clinician ensures that Spanish-speaking clients and families receive equitable and effective care across office and community-based settings.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS :

• Screen, assess, and evaluate all incoming referrals; provide initial assessments in both English and Spanish, as appropriate.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy in English and Spanish, in office and community settings.
• Deliver evidence-based treatment approaches tailored to culturally diverse children and families.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and produce written reports as needed.
• Develop collaborative treatment plans and treatment plan reviews with clients and families.
• Work with program staff to identify intervention needs and determine appropriate strategies.
• Maintain complete and timely clinical documentation in electronic medical records in accordance with bilingual service standards.
• Meet program productivity expectations based on scheduled hours.
• Complete periodic insurance-related reports, authorizations, and re-authorizations.
• Coordinate services with external providers and refer families to community resources, especially those serving Spanish-speaking populations.
• Organize and participate in multidisciplinary case conferences.
• Design and implement group programming and activities.
• Provide psychoeducation in English and Spanish regarding mental health conditions, treatment plans, and medication management (as directed by prescribing providers).
• Attend required professional development trainings, conferences, and in-services.
• Respond to crisis situations and high-risk cases per agency protocol, ensuring accurate reporting and timely intervention.
• Actively participate in agency, clinic, school, and community meetings, as well as supervision and clinical case reviews.
• Supervise interns, if qualified and approved.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:

• Participate in case coordination and network meetings with other service providers and agencies.
• Serve on agency and school-based committees, as agreed upon with supervisor.
• Collaborate with student support teams and school staff to assess and respond to behavioral and emotional needs of youth.
• Support a culturally responsive and family-centered model of care.
• Serve as a liaison between families and institutions (e.g., school, community agencies) and advocate for client needs.
• Contribute to quality assurance and program improvement efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES :

• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written); able to provide clinical services in both languages.
• Experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses and treatment of mental illness.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and independently.
• Competency in treatment planning and clinical documentation.
• Proficient with electronic health records and managed care systems.
• Flexible, organized, and committed to high standards of care.
• Skilled in culturally sensitive and trauma-informed clinical practices.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field (required).
• Licensed or Limited Permit (LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent) in New York State.
• Direct experience working with Spanish-speaking communities is required.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
