Economic Competitiveness Coordinator

Under the direction of the Vice President of Strategy, the Economic Competitiveness Coordinator will provide critical support in implementing GRP's strategic initiatives, investor relations activities, and operation of targeted industry councils. This role plays a key part in cross-functional coordination and stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic plan. This is an at-will position.

TYPICAL DUTIES

Coordinate logistics and materials for new industry councils, committee meetings and investor relations initiatives. Support relationship management and stewardship of public and private sector investors Maintain accurate investor records and assist with billing coordination. Draft communications, reports, and updates for stakeholders. Update investor relations collateral and website as needed. Coordinate and/or draft investor relations, industry council and competitiveness materials including blogs, presentations, and event talking points. Maintain membership rosters, onboard new members, manage communications, and generate invoices. Facilitate proactive member engagement, including referrals, support, and follow-ups. Coordinate calendars, organize and facilitate council meetings, and support the implementation of initiatives. Support planning and execution of events. Prepare agendas, briefing documents, and promotional materials for events and meetings. Track attendance, feedback, and follow-up actions. Provide administrative support for cross-team initiatives such as presentations, reports, and proposals. Assist with budget tracking and reporting for strategic initiatives and programs. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal procedures. Help cultivate and maintain partnerships with local economic development organizations and regional stakeholders. Represent the organization at events, community functions, and meetings as needed. Draft and proofread internal and external communications, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy. Maintain program documentation, including SOPs, strategic plans, and project tracking tools. Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field. One to three years of program administration, investor relations, or project management experience. Work experience may be substituted for education year-by-year on a case-by-case basis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Comfort interacting with senior executives, community stakeholders, and partners.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working within one or more of GRP's target industries, membership programs, or economic development initiatives. Familiarity with Salesforce, Hubspot or similar CRM platforms, survey tools (e.g., SurveyMonkey), project management software (e.g., Asana), or budgeting platforms. Adobe Creative Suite experience. Experience with writing or editing professional communications or reports.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Comfortable working conditions, handling lightweight, intermittent sitting, standing and walking. Occasional exposure to hazards associated with construction site visits including exposure to multiple-story elevations, cramped quarters, temporary stairs and planks, temperature extremes, dust, noise, power equipment and vehicular traffic. Considerable exposure to stressful situations and stress as a result of human behavior and various responsibilities. Non-traditional working hours which may include evenings and weekends. Operates a motor vehicle requiring a standard Virginia Driver's License. Operates a variety of standard office equipment including a personal computer, copier, fax machine, telephone, calculator and based on job assignment may require the performance of other essential and marginal functions.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The Greater Richmond Partnership, Inc. offers a highly competitive compensation package for this position. The annual salary range for this position is $49,000 to $61,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
