We're looking for an Outside Sales Representative to take ownership of an assigned territory and drive sales and gross profit growth through strong customer relationships, consultative selling, and a deep understanding of the construction industry.

This is more than a traditional sales role. You'll be a trusted resource for dealers, builders, architects, engineers, contractors, and other industry professionalshelping them find the right solutions, improve their business, and successfully bring projects from concept to completion.

What You'll Do

Grow the Business

Develop and execute strategies to exceed sales and gross profit goals within your territory. Build and maintain strong relationships with dealer principals, purchasing teams, sales contacts, builders, contractors, architects, engineers, and other key decision-makers. Identify new business opportunities and turn them into long-term customer relationships. Quote pricing and product availability while providing knowledgeable, responsive service.

Become a Trusted Customer Partner

Travel throughout your territory to meet with existing and prospective customers. Help customers improve their closing rates, sales effectiveness, and product knowledge. Conduct product training and educational sessions for customers, architects, engineers, builders, building inspectors, and other industry professionals. Investigate customer concerns and provide timely, effective solutions. Demonstrate products and communicate the features and benefits that matter most to customers.

Influence Projects from the Ground Up

Drive product specifications and secure approved substitutions with architects, engineers, building inspectors, designers, general contractors, and framing subcontractors. Track major projects from permitting through design and construction. Work closely with the Technical Manager to increase product penetration in commercial, multifamily, and large single-family residential markets. Identify opportunities early and position our products to become part of the project specification.

Think Strategically

Develop and execute strategies that strengthen our brand and clearly communicate our value proposition. Monitor economic conditions, construction trends, and industry activity to identify emerging opportunities. Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to gain alignment and deliver results. Represent the company at industry events, customer meetings, and community activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred. 710 years of experience in the building/construction industry. Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of BisTrack is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.

Travel

This is a field-based sales position with extensive territory travel. You will generally be home every night, with occasional overnight travel for customer visits and business activities. Overnight travel is expected to be less than 25%. Video conferencing will be used when appropriate to reduce unnecessary travel.
