Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine the mental health status of clients.

  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient.

  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

  • Regularly follow up with clients to monitor progress, provide therapeutic support, and conduct necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive care.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Engage in professional development opportunities, including participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse population of clients, including individuals experiencing substance abuse issues, depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, and eating disorders. You will need to demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity to provide effective treatment, ensuring that all clients feel understood and supported in their unique journeys towards mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

  • Minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.

  • In-depth understanding of various mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and the ability to apply culturally responsive therapeutic approaches.

  • Strong crisis intervention skills, with proven ability to remain composed and effective during high-stress situations.

  • Experience in providing group therapy sessions and leading psychoeducational workshops.
