Survey Crew Chief – Virginia Beach, VA
Ready to lead the field and work on projects that make an impact? An established engineering and surveying firm is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to join its growing team in the Virginia Beach area.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a survey field crew on boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction staking, and utility surveys.
- Operate GPS, robotic total stations, and data collection equipment.
- Ensure accurate field data collection and maintain high quality standards.
- Coordinate daily field activities while working closely with project managers and office staff.
- Maintain survey equipment and follow all safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
- Strong experience with GPS and robotic total station equipment.
- Ability to read survey plans and construction drawings.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
