Job Title: General Laborer Job Description

This role performs a variety of general labor and site cleanup duties in an outdoor, industrial environment. You work a Monday–Thursday 4/10 schedule from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, supporting field crews with material handling, wash-down activities, dust control, and debris removal while following all safety procedures. The position requires Hazwoper 40 certification, reliable attendance, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.

• Perform general labor tasks to support daily site operations and project activities.
• Carry out thorough site cleanup, including debris removal and maintaining clean, organized work areas.
• Hold and operate water hoses for wash-down operations and dust control as directed.
• Move, load, and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently around the site.
• Assist field crews with miscellaneous tasks and follow instructions to support project needs.
• Follow all site safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and adherence to hazardous material handling protocols.
• Support hazardous material work in accordance with Hazwoper 40 training and site guidelines.
• Use basic hand tools and equipment safely and correctly as part of daily tasks.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
• Maintain reliable attendance and arrive on time for the scheduled 4/10 workweek.
• Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
• Communicate any safety concerns, equipment issues, or site hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Adapt to changing priorities and assist with additional duties as needed to keep the site operating smoothly.

• Current Hazwoper 40-hour certification required.
• Proven ability to perform general labor tasks in an industrial, construction, or similar environment.
• Experience with site cleanup, debris removal, and maintaining orderly work areas.
• Ability to safely handle materials, tools, and equipment, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of and commitment to following site safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including sun and cold.
• Reliable transportation and consistent, dependable attendance.
• Willingness and ability to work a Monday–Thursday 4/10 schedule (four 10-hour shifts).
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work around hazardous materials in accordance with training.
• Team-oriented mindset with good communication and cooperation skills.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and perform manual labor for extended periods.

• Previous experience in construction, warehouse, landscaping, janitorial, or general labor roles preferred.
• Familiarity with using basic hand tools in a worksite setting.
• Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as needed.

This position is based outdoors on an industrial or construction-style site, requiring comfort working in direct sun, cold, and other changing weather conditions. You work four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The environment involves active material handling, use of hand tools, and operation around hazardous materials in accordance with Hazwoper 40 standards. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and must be worn as directed. The work is physically demanding, with frequent standing, walking, lifting, and manual tasks, and you collaborate closely with field crews and other laborers in a safety-conscious, team-driven setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Francisco, CA.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
