Loan Assistant

About The Role Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is hiring a Full‑Time Loan Assistant for our Pleasant Grove or Lehi branch. Essential Functions Provide administrative functions to support loan officer and team. Communicate with customers and prospects to reduce friction in the loan production and portfolio management processes. Assist in collecting, filing, and organizing customer financials and information. Interact with business owners and other professionals in person, by email, and telephone. Work with other departments in the bank to help with loan production, documentation, and portfolio management. Compose letters and memoranda, edit written communications. Collect and prepare information for use in discussions and meetings with internal and external loan clients. Take meeting minutes in loan team meetings. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frames. Learners are responsible for ensuring they understand the information given in each training and may reach out to their supervisor for clarification or additional training. Reasonable understanding of a bank and the loan process. Strong computer skills in Word processing and Excel spreadsheets. High interpersonal skills, strong verbal communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi‑task. Ability to interact calmly and professionally with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds at various levels within and outside the organization. Reliability and timely attendance. Ability to adapt to change (shifting priorities, demands, and timelines) through time management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be able to climb/descend stairs in an emergency situation. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes. What We Offer Compensation & Benefits: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position.
