Transportation Division Manager (Lead)

Within this position you will be working directly with day-to-day operations managers (BC's) and manager assistants (BCA's). The ideal candidate would be someone who assists upper management with future revenue streams within our transportation and additional divisions. Key Responsibilities:

• Create a culture of teamwork and constant growth while leading and motivating a group of transportation professionals.
• Create and carry out strategic plans to improve our transportation division's performance and efficiency.
• To ensure effective coordination of transportation activities.
• To enhance operational efficiency overall and to improve delivery schedules, expenses, and costs.
• Oversee the operation of our fleet of vehicles, including maintenance schedules, adherence to safety standards, and performance requirements.
• To find areas for process improvement, put greater efficiency techniques into practice, and promote improvements in overall performance, evaluate transportation data and indicators.
• To maintain compliance and look for opportunities for growth, develop good relationships with other parties.
• Keep updated with new market trends, the latest technologies, and best practices that encourage creativity within the transportation division.
• Establish and enforce policies related to safe transportation practices and adherence to all corporate and industry rules.
• Present important performance metrics, issues, and strategic recommendations in regular reports and updates to management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or another closely associated field.
• A track record of at least 2 years spent in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Comprehension of transportation operations, including load planning, route optimization, and carrier management.
• Strong leadership skills, with the capacity to inspire and develop an eclectic group.
• Proficiency in data analysis and the use of appropriate technology.
• Broad understanding of the transportation industry's best practices, industry compliance, and safety requirements.
• Powerful analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to make wise decisions in a changing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the ability to engage successfully at all organizational levels.
• Dedicated to upholding the highest standards of reliability and effectiveness, highly organized and detail-oriented.
