Staff Assistant IIncumbents in the Staff Assistant I position perform a variety of administrative support and/or secretarial duties for a specified department or program.Performs office duties, including answering phones, directing calls to appropriate parties, data entry, filing, appointment scheduling, and other general duties as assigned.Provides administrative support, including scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings/conferences, and maintaining/ordering office supplies.Greets and directs visitors.Sorts, screens, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.Composes and word-processes various standard documents and correspondence.Arranges maintenance of office equipment.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Skilled with computers and related software.Skilled with basic office equipment, including printers, copiers, and telephone systems.Good organizational skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential business data and personal information.Excellent customer service skills.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma/GED or aptitude is required.Along with the online application, please attach:Resume to be uploaded at the beginning of your application in the Candidate Profile under "Resume/CV"Cover letter to be typed/pasted at the end of your applicationNames and contact information of at least three references to be typed at the beginning of the application**Document size may not exceed 10 MB.**Commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus excellent benefits.Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.
