General Description The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the processes and equipment used in our manufacturing operations. This role supports day-to-day plant activity while driving strategic improvements that enhance quality, productivity, and cost performance. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, bring innovative ideas to the floor, and lead efforts that make our manufacturing systems safer, smarter, and more efficient. Job Responsibilities
- Review manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and develop and implement improvement initiatives
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste, relieve bottlenecks, and address capacity constraints
- Provide hands-on, day-to-day engineering support to assigned production areas
- Identify root causes and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools
- Design and redesign manufacturing cell layouts for optimal material flow and efficiency
- Develop and maintain standard work to meet quality requirements and strengthen business continuity
- Ensure compliance with all company policies while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to drive alignment and results
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in metals machining and electronics manufacturing
- Experience with AutoCAD for work cell layouts and design
- Strong working knowledge of lean or continuous improvement methodologies
- Demonstrated success leading impactful cost-savings or process-improvement initiatives
- Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and make effective real-time decisions
- CNC programming experience
- Lean or Six Sigma certification
