General Description

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the processes and equipment used in our manufacturing operations. This role supports day-to-day plant activity while driving strategic improvements that enhance quality, productivity, and cost performance. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, bring innovative ideas to the floor, and lead efforts that make our manufacturing systems safer, smarter, and more efficient.

Job Responsibilities

• Review manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and develop and implement improvement initiatives
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste, relieve bottlenecks, and address capacity constraints
• Provide hands-on, day-to-day engineering support to assigned production areas
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools
• Design and redesign manufacturing cell layouts for optimal material flow and efficiency
• Develop and maintain standard work to meet quality requirements and strengthen business continuity
• Ensure compliance with all company policies while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality
• Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to drive alignment and results
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
• 4+ years of experience in metals machining and electronics manufacturing
• Experience with AutoCAD for work cell layouts and design
• Strong working knowledge of lean or continuous improvement methodologies
• Demonstrated success leading impactful cost-savings or process-improvement initiatives
• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and make effective real-time decisions

Preferred:

• CNC programming experience
• Lean or Six Sigma certification
