Observes and reports any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the GM, physician, and family per state regulations./liliConducts regular meetings with residents and their families to ensure their needs are being met./liliCommunicates with resident family members, physicians, and pharmacists as needed regarding residents and services provided./liliEnsures all Resident Rights and Responsibilities are protected and enforced. Recognizes and assists in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation and reports to the appropriate sources per state regulations./liliAddresses difficult resident behaviors with dignity and respect./liliGuarantees compliance of all State Rules and Regulations of assisted living./li/ulpSupervisory Responsibilities:/pulliProvides team members with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities./liliChallenges and inspires team members to achieve results./liliEvaluates team members skills and competencies and ensures the completion of performance reviews./liliSets clear expectations and holds team members accountable for performance./liliOversees training and development of team members directly and indirectly managed; ensures training and certification of all AL staff is completed as required by Merrill Gardens and state regulations./liliProvides coaching, direction, and leadership support to team members to achieve employee engagement and customer delight./liliMentors team members using electronic care system./liliBuilds effective teams by determining adequate staffing levels, identifying and recruiting top talent./liliPrepares staffing schedules to meet all community requirements for standards of care./li/ulpAdministration:/pulliAdheres to budgetary guidelines established by Merrill Gardens./liliCoordinates with General Manager for financial stability of assisted living department from both census development and expense control./liliProvides General Manager with weekly status reports on all AL residents./liliMaintains all resident records and department documentation./liliComplies with state-mandated reporting as required./liliAudits AL services for regulatory compliance./liliProvides additional management reports as required./li/ulpIf you are someone with:/ppEducation:/pulliCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, as specified by state agency./liliBachelors Degree or equivalent./liliFirst Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire where required by state./liliCompletion of dementia training as required by state regulations within six months of hire date if applicable./li/ulpExperience:/pulli3-years related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience./liliExperience in assisted living, geriatric nursing, or gerontology and dementia care./liliExperience in medication administration and hands-on personal care preferred./liliDemonstrated ability in budgeting and cost control./liliExperience in operating an electronic care system./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/ppThis role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday.
