This unit will be providing symptom management for patients still under treatment uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, fatigue, etc. for a better quality of life. The ideal candidates are med surg nurse that want to enhance their palliative care skills while also seeing other high acuity med surg units via floating.*New unit that will open on 7/8. Travelers who start prior to this date will be floating to inpatient units until their training is complete. This will be good experience to see the various patient populations they will be receiving once unit is open.Certifications required: BLSRequirements Minimum 2 Years RN experience required Certs: BLS Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. The primary goal of the unit is to support patients experiencing advanced illness or imminent end of life by managing pain and other distressing symptoms, while also addressing emotional and psychosocial needs. Special Procedures/Unit Details : - Special Equipment : Due to the nature of the unit- RN must have exp with Pharmacologic/non-pharmacological pain interventions and Equianalgesic dosing of opioids #Tier4 Travel Compliance There is a strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start no exceptions.
