What You'll Do

As a Medical Scheduler, you'll play a key role in coordinating appointments and ensuring a smooth experience for patients, healthcare providers, and customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Scheduling examinations using an internal database system

• Coordinating appointment dates and times with physicians' offices

• Confirming appointments and communicating changes, cancellations, and no-shows

• Preparing and sending appointment notification letters

• Communicating with healthcare providers, examinees, and customers regarding scheduling needs

• Verifying receipt of medical records and other required documentation

• Coordinating ancillary services such as interpreters, transportation, chaperones, and exam site arrangements when needed

• Providing updates on report status and scheduling information

• Processing mail, deliveries, and shipments as needed

• Assisting teammates and supporting other departments when necessary

• Arranging lodging and transportation for out-of-town examinees

• Participating in training and professional development activities

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience (retail, customer support, call center, administrative, or related experience welcome)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in a professional setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment

• Experience handling high-volume phone lines

• Proficiency with standard office equipment and computer systems

• Typing speed of 35+ WPM

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $17.25/hr.
