Service Restoration is seeking a full-time Estimator to join our Estimating team in Bloomington, MN .

The Estimator is responsible for evaluating property damage, developing accurate and comprehensive estimates, and ensuring each project is properly scoped, documented, and priced. This role plays a key part in balancing the needs of our customers, insurance carriers, and the company while ensuring estimates accurately reflect the work required and support project profitability.

The Estimator works closely with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, insurance adjusters, and customers to coordinate project estimates, address scope changes, negotiate supplements, and support the successful execution of each job. Strong communication, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of restoration practices are essential to ensuring projects are estimated accurately and efficiently.

This position serves as a critical link between estimating, operations, and project management, helping ensure alignment between the approved scope of work, work performed, and final project billing.

Typical Weekly Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am through 5:00 pm, may occasionally require extended hours and weekends.

Salary: $80,000 + lucrative bonuses!

Job Duties:

•Prepare accurate, detailed, and comprehensive estimates for property damage restoration projects, including emergency mitigation services, contents, and reconstruction.

•Utilize Xactimate to develop estimates, prepare supplements, and generate invoices that accurately reflect the scope of work performed.

•Review and analyze job documentation, including photographs, videos, field reports, communications, and other project records to determine appropriate scopes of work and pricing.

•Manage assigned estimating files from initial assessment through final billing, ensuring estimates, supplements, and supporting documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

•Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure estimates align with project requirements and work performed.

•Communicate and negotiate with insurance adjusters, customers, and other involved parties to resolve estimate discrepancies, obtain approvals, and facilitate timely claim resolution.

•Maintain consistent and professional communication through phone calls, emails, and other correspondence, including responding promptly to inquiries, leads, and voicemails.

•Assist in resolving customer concerns and disputes by providing clear explanations, addressing discrepancies, and working toward fair and reasonable solutions.

•Create and maintain accurate customer records, project information, estimates, notes, and supporting documentation within the company's project management system.

•Coordinate billing activities with appropriate internal departments to ensure invoices are accurate, supported, and submitted in a timely manner.

•Effectively manage a high volume of active project files while maintaining accuracy, organization, and adherence to deadlines.

•Serve as a central point of communication between customers, insurance representatives, internal teams, and other stakeholders throughout the estimating process.

•Participate in the company's on-call rotation to respond to incoming leads and new project opportunities outside regular business hours.

•Perform other related duties as assigned to support the Estimating Department and overall company operations.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of construction/rebuilding, and restoration basics
• 1 or more years interior oriented Xactimate experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Mobility from desk to printer and back in order to retrieve documents
• Sitting for long periods of time at a desk, or standing if a standing desk
• Bending, stooping, reaching as required of an administrative position in order to file, or perform other tasks and duties
• Typing or key entry
• Visual assessment of damage photos for estimates
• Lifting such as to load paper into the printer or move office supplies and furniture
• May include other physical requirements as required
