The Company focuses on high‑quality homes for entry‑level and first‑time move‑up markets. Loan Originator Assistant – Unlicensed The role supports the Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) so that the MLO can focus on producing volume and providing high‑level customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Communicate with parties to update them on loan status. Track outstanding applications and loan documents, calling customers to follow up. Schedule appointments for the MLO. Assist the MLO in converting pre‑qualification to applications in the LOS, handling administrative setup of the electronic loan package. Help prepare loan application documentation for submission to processing. Return phone calls with basic status updates or requests for information (not negotiating terms). Monitor pipeline reports daily for application status and communicate with processors to ensure loans move through approval. Occasionally set up files, e.g., order appraisal, title, verifications. Maintain current knowledge of company and investor guidelines, state and federal regulations. Conduct all business professionally and ethically to serve customers and increase goodwill and profit. Ability to work overtime and travel overnight. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Six months to one year of related experience and/or training. Strong attention to detail and multitasking in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities; highly organized. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow written or oral instructions from D.R. Horton applications. Proficiency with MS Office and email. Physical ability to sit majority of an 8‑hour day, use hands, reach, talk, hear; need close and peripheral vision. The noise level is generally moderate.
