Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its St. George, Utah office. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in Utah and eager to collaborate with senior partners and associates. This role involves conducting legal research, drafting documents, and maintaining client files, offering a valuable opportunity for career growth. Duties Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case handling. Organize and maintain accurate files for attorneys, paralegals, and staff. Perform legal research and prepare for hearings or other legal proceedings. Analyze conflicts in legal matters and advise clients on solutions. Prepare correspondence and legal documents for contract negotiations and proceedings. Investigate and gather evidence related to personal injury cases. Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel to reach settlements. Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations. Attend depositions and conduct witness interviews. Provide clients with regular updates on case status. Collaborate with other attorneys to develop legal strategies and arguments. Maintain accurate and complete case files and documentation. Requirements Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA). Successful completion of the state bar exam. Licensed to practice law in Utah. Experience practicing personal injury law preferred. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Excellent legal research and writing skills. Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks effectively. Proven track record of successful settlements and verdicts. Experience with case management software and technology. Spanish language skills are helpful but not necessary. Education Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the Utah State Bar. Skills Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with senior attorneys. Solution-focused and service-oriented approach. Kind, compassionate, and respectful demeanor. Consistent, responsible, and trustworthy.
